OTWB provides members with access to a professional community that offers you many opportunities for networking, peer learning, support and leadership. We depend on our members to grow and develop OTWB in line with Strategy. By getting involved in the running of OTWB you can play your part in strengthening the voice of the Occupational Therapy profession in Ireland. Below are just some of the ways you can get involved in OTWB.

Join an OTWB Committee

​

OTWB Committees assist us in setting policy and running programmes in some of our key areas of activity including:

​

• Training: running OTWB and Partners Training and Accreditation of Occupational Therapy programmes

• Events: planning and organising our Annual Events

• Research: supporting and promoting research in Occuaptional Therapy

• Communications: overseeing OTWB communications, PR, social media activity and the newsletter

• CPD: overseeing Occupational Therapy CPD policy and standards

• International: collaborating with international Occupational Therapy organisations

• Documents: overseeing the production of OTWB documents and publications

Join THE OTWB Executive Advisory & Mentorship Board

 

OTWB Executive Advisory and Mentorship Board advise us on professional practice matters and provide members with valuable CPD and peer networking opportunities. Each of our Advisors is responsible for the overall operation of the organisation. To join the Board of an Executive Advisor and Mentor, you must be invited or you can contact us to join this board. By joining an Executive Advisory and Mentorship Board, you will have the opportunity to:

• Shape OTWB policy on professional practice matters

• Organise Study Days for OTWB members

• Play a leadership role within your professional body

Help Run the OTWB Conference

The OTWB Annual events are planned, organised and run by the Events Team. This Team is always in need of help from members to deliver the best possible OTWB and Partners events. By joining the Events Team, you will get to learn and use a unique set of skills including:

​

• Event planning and organisation

• People management, negotiation and networking

• Resource management, sponsorship and budgeting

• Programme planning

• Project management

Apply to Become an OTWB Representative

OTWB has representatives on a wide range of regional, national and international committees, groups and organisations. We depend on our members to represent us in many different forums and to bring our unique occupational focus to policy and practice development forums at home and abroad.
