WE WHO ARE MANY ARE NEVER MORE POWERFUL THAN WE WHO ARE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS WITHOUT BORDERS.
OTWB works with OTs, OTAs, OT Students and other Health and Care professionals in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMICs), and understand how important the work of OTs is within LMICs, promote an understanding of how as Occupational Therapists we can most appropriately apply our practice in the context of these regions, in giving opportunity, support and credibility to sometimes small groups of OT professionals fighting for recognition in their own countries.
OTWB aims to promote occupational therapy whilst acknowledging the geographical, cultural, diversity, international issues and political context, that give rise to professional diversity and growth, OTWB is passionate about supporting the development of the Occupational Therapy globally.
Our Vision is to establish an international network where global north OTs can exchange knowledge and practice collaboratively with international colleagues (global South) to enhance practice and improve outcomes. We believe that OTWB will/should continue to promote the global ambitions and influence of the OT profession and support the development of the profession within various countries.
We connect compassionate, and professional volunteer OTs, OTAs and OT Students to communities in need.
Whether you are a licensed occupational therapist, an assistant, a student, or a donor interested in contributing to a higher cause, please reach out to us!
